Once again the Stone Crusher team made their wa south to Florida for two straight weeks of events in some familiar surroundings. The first stop was the Florida Sports Park in Naples. The infamous track is notorious for swamp buggy racing, but this weekend the Monsters took over to play. The entire Monster Trucks Unlimited camp was on hand as Steve Sims would be piloting his usual Stone Crusher and Bryan Wright in Monster Magic. Morgan Kane however, would dawn the Pure Adrenaline colors on his usual Stone Crusher truck for the weekend. Friday night started off strong enough with all three team trucks making it into the semi-finals. Kane would knock out Sims with Pure Adrenaline to advance into the finals where he’d take the overall victory with a win over Grinder. The success continued Saturday as Stone Crusher and Monster Magic both found themselves again in the semi-final rounds of racing. Sims was unable to advance to the finals but that didn’t put a damper on his night as he soared the Stone Crusher to victory in the freestyle competition. Sims wasn’t able to break through with racing victory on Sunday but closed out the weekend with another strong performance.
Following a week spent hanging out at the Gun Slinger camp the team traveled to Ocala’s Bubba Raceway Park. This weekend it would be only Stone Crusher representing the Monster Trucks Unlimited camp and Morgan Kane would get the rein’s of the boss-man’s ride as he piloted Steve Sims truck for the weekend. While their rides are very similar, both drivers have their own personal preference in setup but Kane adapted quickly with a solid performance Friday night. After getting a good feel for the truck Friday, Kane opened up Saturday afternoon with a second place finish in racing and a third in freestyle. The night show saw plenty of rain before hand leaving the track a muddy mess but the Stone Crusher pushed on for the die hard Florida fans. The final event of the weekend took place on Sunday and Kane’s perseverance paid off and landed him in the win column as he ended the weekend with a win in freestyle with a big air assault.
